BJP Leader Suffers Cardiac Arrest at Party’s Training Camp, Dies in Hospital
The deceased leader headed the Chhattisgarh State Yoga Ayog and contributed to the spread of yoga in the state.
Raipur: Senior BJP leader and chairman of state yoga commission Rupnarayan Sinha (68) suffered cardiac arrest when he was participating in the two-day training camp of the party in Bilaspur in Chhattisgarh on Tuesday.
He was rushed to the Chhattisgarh Institute of Medical Science (CIMS) at Bilaspur when he breathed his last, party sources said.
The senior Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) leader took part in a yoga session in the camp and felt severe pain in his chest.
He was then rushed to the CIMS where he died, the party said.
Chief minister Vishnu Deo expressed shock and sorrow over the sudden demise of the BJP leader and said that his death was a big loss to the party as well as the state.
