BJP Announces New Team Under Nitin Nabin, Modi Congratulates

Vasundhara Raje Scindia, Ram Madhav and D Purandeshwari among 13 national vice presidents

The BJP on Monday announced its new national team under party president Nitin Nabin, appointing 13 national vice presidents and retaining B L Santhosh as national general secretary (organisation).

Ram Madhav, Lok Sabha MP D Purandeshwari and former Uttarakhand chief minister Tirath Singh Rawat are among the vice presidents. Former Rajasthan chief minister Vasundhara Raje Scindia, former Union minister Bharti Pawar, Manpreet Singh Badal and Tariq Mansoor have also been appointed to the post.

The party has retained B L Santhosh as national general secretary (organisation), while former Union minister Smriti Irani and former Tripura chief minister Biplab Kumar Deb have been inducted into its team of eight national general secretaries.

Vinod Tawde and Sunil Bansal are the other two general secretaries retained by the BJP. Gajendra Patel, Harish Dwivedi and Sanjay Bhatia have also been appointed national general secretaries.

Shivprakash and Saudan Singh have been named national joint general secretaries (organisation), while Union Minister Piyush Goyal has been appointed national treasurer.

The BJP has also inducted several new faces, including Kavita Patidar, K Surendran, Sandeep Pathak and Manoj Tigga, among its 16 national secretaries.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated the newly appointed office bearers, saying the new team combines organisational experience, energy and grassroots connect.

"Congratulations to the newly appointed national office bearers of the BJP and those who have been given various responsibilities in the party. This newly appointed team brings together organisational experience, energy and grassroots connect," Modi said on X.

He expressed confidence that the new team would strengthen the BJP and focus on public service, and conveyed his best wishes to the office bearers.

The appointments come after Nitin Nabin took charge as BJP national president, succeeding J P Nadda.
