Three children died and three adults were injured when a water tank wall collapsed at a factory construction site in Rajasthan's Khairthal-Tijara district.
Three children were killed after a water tank wall collapsed on them at a construction site of a factory in Bhiwadi town of Rajasthan's Khairthal-Tijara district. The incident occurred at the under-construction plant on Old Samtal Road in the industrial area on Monday afternoon, they said.
According to the police, a four-year-old girl, Meenu Sharma, died on the spot, while the two injured boys -- Jyotish Sharma (8) and Shivam (12) -- were referred to a hospital in Delhi, where they succumbed to their injuries during treatment late Monday night, police said.
Three other injured persons, identified as Shrimani (40), Jeetu (25) and Aruna (40), are undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Bhiwadi. Their condition is said to be serious.
Bhiwadi Deputy Superintendent of Police Pradeep Nehra said on Tuesday that the victims were present near the water tank when its wall collapsed on them. The factory is being constructed by a private builder, he said.
