Victims from Beed and Latur; rain-related incidents also claim livestock in Nanded
Two people were killed by lightning strikes and several cattle perished as unseasonal rain hit parts of Marathwada, officials said.
Two persons died in lightning strikes amid unseasonal rains in parts of Marathwada, an official from the revenue department said on Monday. The deaths were reported from Beed and Latur districts on Sunday, he said.
Digambar Gaikwad (59) and Rahul Jadhav (22) died after being struck by lightning in Beed and Latur districts, the official said. The official said cattle were also killed in rain-related incidents in Beed and Nanded districts.
