Controversial Armed Forces Act to stay in Jammu and Kashmir
New Delhi: In a divergent view from the UPA government, the Union home ministry has nipped in the bud any possibility of withdrawing, even partially, or diluting the contentious Armed Forces (Special Powers) Act (AFSPA) in Jammu and Kashmir.
The ministry’s Kashmir division has categorically stated that the “security situation in the Valley is not right for withdrawing AFSPA in view of the prevailing security scenario in the region and increasing infiltration attempts.
Even a partial withdrawal from some districts in the state is not advised at this juncture”.
Art 370 is the ONLY constitutional link between J&K & rest of India. Talk of revocation of not just ill informed it's irresponsible. 3/3

Mark my words & save this tweet - long after Modi Govt is a distant memory either J&K won't be part of India or Art 370 will still exist 2/n
