Music lovers were in for a rude shock on Tuesday morning when they logged onto YouTube to listen to M.S. Subbulakshmi's Vishnu Sahasranamam, only to realise that the video was blocked by music label Saregama.
Even as users continued to try several other links, they were led to a screen which stated, “This video contains content from Saregama, who has blocked it on copyright grounds.”
Music lovers took to social media to express their displeasure over this sudden development. A twitter user lamented, “Wanted to listen to Smt M.S.Subbulakshmi's Vishnu Sahasranamam on Youtube today. Find that saregama has blocked it due to copyright issues.”
