Panasonic launches powerful Eluga Turbo smartphone in India

New Delhi: Panasonic has released a new affordable, high performance smartphone—the Eluga Turbo—in India. The device is facilitated with a high capacity 3GB RAM along with octacore processing features that support future OS updates and richer application functionality.

The new device features a 5-inch IPS HD display at a resolution of 1280x720 pixels, which makes it ideal for viewing content seamlessly. In terms of design, the smartphone offers a sleek body, offering better grip.

Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by a 1.5GHz octa-core processor along with 3GB RAM, offering decent performance. In terms of storage, the device is equipped with 32GB internal capacity and can be externally expanded by 32GB via external microSD card. Additionally, the handset utilises an Android 5.1 (Lollipop) OS.

The Turbo comes with a 13MP primary camera with LED flash that supports 30fps/Full HD 1080p video recording and a 5MP front snapper for video calling and selfies.

A 2350mAh capacity battery for longer operations backs up the device. It is available in several colour options—Marine Blue, Champagne Gold and Rose Gold.

With more smartphones shifting to 4G, Panasonic has forayed into launching 4G models in its Eluga series. The Eluga Turbo includes other connectivity options such as Dual SIM – 4G/3G + 2G, Wi-Fi Hot Spot, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth, and Global Positioning System (A-GPS).

Moreover, thee Eluga Turbo comes with the FitHome user interface developed exclusively by Panasonic, which permits single thumb-flick access to applications on the home screen.

The smartphone is available on leading online shopping portal Snapdeal at a price of Rs 10,999 through online pre-registrations that started from January 22, 2016 and sales beginning on January 27.
