Mumbai: Motorola India has released a video teaser of its much-hyped Moto Force X (Droid turbo 2) smartphone ahead of the device’s India launch. One of the biggest USP’s of the device as claimed by the company is the shatterproof glass, which will not crack for a period of four years.

The company’s India twitter handle posted a series of tweets hinting that the device might be launched in India by the end of this month, or in the first week of February.

Additionally, the posts featured a video where the handset is seen competing with other flagships smartphones like the iphone 6S and Samsung Galaxy S6.

The Moto X Force employs an ingenious ‘Moto Shattershield’ technology, which has multiple layers of glass material that helps in absorbing shocks. The company is so sure about it’s technology that they are offering a four-year long warranty on the Moto X Force’s screen.

The device features a flexible 5.4-inch AMOLED QHD display offering a resolution of 2,560X1440.

In terms of performance, a 2.0GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset along with 3GB RAM powers the handset. The device will come along with 32GB and 64GB storage options, which can be expanded up to 2TB via external microSD card.

The handset has a 21MP rear camera sensor along with a dual LED flash, and is definitely Motorola’s best camera offering by far. The 5MP front snapper on the device is also a good addition and is perfect for taking good quality selfies.

The device uses a 3,760mAh battery, supports fast-charging, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth. The smartphone will unfortunately run on Android Lollipop 5.1 instead of the latest Marshmallow OS.

The Moto X Force, which is know as the Droid Turbo 2 in the US is priced at $624 for the 32GB variant and $720 for the 64GB variant. However, the company has not revealed the price of the device in India yet.
