Samsung's upcoming feature to match Apple's Live Photos'

Samsung's new feature may be called Timeless Photos or Vivid Photos.

Mumbai: Apple’s iPhone 6S, which was released in September 2015, came with numerous exciting features including "Live Photos"—a feature that can capture 1.5 seconds of video before and after the image, along with environmental sounds.

According to several media reports, Samsung might also roll out a similar feature with its upcoming Galaxy S7 flagship.

According to information received by Android Geek from an unnamed source, Software engineers at Samsung are testing a feature similar to Apple’s Live Photos, which is expected to make its debut with the Galaxy S7.

As for the name of the feature, it may be called Timeless Photos or Vivid Photos, the later being more likely.

Also, it will be a tad different from Apple’s Live Photos, as the Vivid Photo feature will not capture any sound along with the photo. The omission of sound will help users to directly share the images as Gifs on social media websites.

The Galaxy S7 was supposed to launch in January but new reports suggest that the flagship smartphone might make its debut at the Mobile World Conference that starts on February 22.

The device has been subjected to numerous reports and speculations, and all of them have hint towards a high-end device, packed with an arsenal of exciting features.

According to reports, the Galaxy S7 is speculated to feature 5.2-inch QHD display, 4GB RAM, and a 20MP primary camera.

Moreover, either a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor or a Samsung Exynos 8890 CPU will power the device, as according to the models.
