Bengaluru Businessmen Hires Ambani's Priest to Perform Puja to his Private Jet

The video of the private jet puja was shared on Instagram by Pandit Chandrashekhar Sharma on his handle

Hyderabad: A Bengaluru-based businessman recently purchased a Gulfstream G280 private jet worth around Rs 200 core and it went viral after a video showed a traditional Hindu blessing ceremony (puja) being performed on the jet at Bengaluru airport. The rituals were conducted by Pandit Chandrashekhar Sharma, a well- known Indian Pandit, who has previously officiated for the Ambani family.

The video of the private jet puja was shared on Instagram by Pandit Chandrashekhar Sharma on his official handle. It begins with the pandit walking towards the jet, which was parked at an airport. He then sits on the ground and commences the Hindu rituals. Following this, he moves to the front of the private jet and applies a tilak - a common Hindu tradition. Later, he enters the jet and the worshipped the silver idols of Lord Ganesha, Goddess Lakshmi ji and Saraswati Ji.

The video also showed the pilot and the owner of the jet sitting in the cockpit. It also shows the owner of the jet participating in the ritual.

The Gulfstream G280 is a super- midsize business jet known for its range, speed, and comfort, making it popular for long-distance business travel. There are two Honeywell HTF7250G engines, each with 7,624 pounds of thrust. The jet has the capacity to seats up to 10 passengers in executive style. It is operated by a crew of two. The typical operating cost is around $3,200 per hour.
