People in Belarus show up naked in office on President's instructions'

Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko’s recent speech to the All-Belarusian People’s Assembly was hilariously misinterpreted by the public who decided to ditch clothes for a day at work. At the event, he had urged the citizens of the country to seek out employment opportunities instead of completely being dependent on the government.

But many people conveniently mixed up the word “razvivatsya” that Lukashenko had used to mean ‘develop’ with the similar-sounding “razdivatsya” which means ‘undress’.

This led several people to post pictures of themselves naked at work. One of the captions along with these posts even read: “We are acting in accordance with the presidential decree.”
