Video: Most Indian youngsters clueless about the meaning of surgical strikes'
There has been a lot of hullabaloo about the recent ‘surgical strikes’ carried out by the Indian Army across the border in the news media. The issue has whipped up considerable jingoistic hysteria in certain sections of society and created tensions between people who support it and those who don’t. But is the Indian youth really aware about the exact meaning of surgical strikes? When The Nerdy Gangsters decided to conduct a short survey of sorts, the results turned out to be shocking.
Not only did many young people have absolutely no idea about what a surgical strike meant, there were others who gave the most nonsensical explanations. In the age of 24/7 news and social media, it is difficult believe that individuals can be so unaware about the current affairs of the country.
Wikipedia states: 'A surgical strike is a military attack which results in, was intended to result in, or is claimed to have resulted in only damage to the intended legitimate military target, and no or minimal collateral damage to surrounding structures, vehicles, buildings, or the general public infrastructure and utilities.'
