US embassy staff in Japan win hearts in Christmas dance video
The staff at the United States embassy in Japan wished the world a merry Christmas in the most adorable way by grooving to a popular Japanese dance number clad in Santa caps and reindeer hair bands. Even the US Ambassador Caroline Kennedy can be seen in a Santa Claus costume in the video that has now gone viral on social media.
The staff members performed the hit ‘Koi Dance’ (Love Dance) from a Japanese TV show, We Married as a Job, in a quirky style and even tried to lip-sync the lyrics. The dance video was liked so much that it got over 4 million views in just five days.
Apparently Japanese folks are quite impressed by the efforts of the staff. One user wrote in Japanese, “Wow, this is great”. Another quipped: “Americans are really good at getting carried away. A boring Japanese government would never do this.”
