A city-based designer has roped in a beautiful tusker to add a mighty touch of majesty to an exclusive photo shoot by Faiza Aman Khan. With Animal Welfare Board placing restrictions on using animals in creative endeavours, Faiza says, "We took very good care of this beautiful elephant, Raja. He became so friendly with everyone and was enjoying the bananas and fruits we fed him."
"We shot the entire campaign in a lush dense forest where Raja was seen enjoying rubbing his back against tree barks and grazing on grass," she says. The designer who also roped in Sakshi Agarwal designed dresses to suit the resort or evening wear line.
The shoot that took nearly five months to get finalised was shot over four days and "Raja was very camera-friendly," chuckles Faiza, adding "It was easier to get Sakshi's dates than Raja's dates."
Sakshi Agarwal and Faiza became so attached to the elephant that they are sponsoring his food expenses for the next 12 months.
