Tweets using #NoWomanEver expose sexual harassment that women face
Rape culture seems to have normalised sexual violence and ill-treatment of women to such an extent that sexual harassment is now considered to be something that women might secretly like. But folks on Twitter have found the perfectly snarky way to turn this ridiculous notion on its head by using the #NoWomanEver.
Women on social media tweeted fictional responses to the harassment that they’ve faced at the hands of men with of a dash of sarcasm using the hashtag.
Women left no stone unturned to highlight the troubles they’ve had to face on account misogynistic male entitlement like catcalling, creepy advances from men to even unsolicited pictures of penises.
It is certainly encouraging that women are taking hold of the mainstream narrative to highlight the troubling issues that they have to face on a daily basis. Check out some these powerful tweets below.
