It has been quite a year for Rumana Sehgal. Right from ‘Mrs India Universe International 2017’ and the ‘Women of Inspiration’ award from the Confederation of Women Entrepreneurs of India to the ‘Woman of the Year’ award from the Constitution Club of India, the year has been filled with achievements.
Rumana was recently honoured with the ‘Woman of the Year’ award on December 22, in recognition of her extraordinary contributions to society, by the Constitution Club of India, New Delhi.
“It’s amazing to be recognised,” says Rumana, MD and Founder, Serendipity, Social Entrepreneur from Hyderabad. Talking about her latest achievement, she says, “I was the only recipient from southern India to have received this award out of the 46 achievers selected across India.” She was awarded for developing innovative and functional ‘green’ products with recycled material.
