Save water for better future

Water Institute is conducting a feasibility study on the potential of rain water harvesting in all stations of Kochi metro.

As part of the World Water Day celebrations, Mohammed Hanish, managing director, KMRL, along with Dr. Indu Nair, senior group director, SCMS Group, symbolically poured water from a mud pot into a mud vessel at Edappally metro station to exemplify the concept of water conservation. “In the coming days, we may not be discussing politics, but every human will be coming together to ensure availability of drinking water,” said Muhammed Haneesh.

Students from SCMS Group of Institutions distributed World Water Day messages to all the passengers who travelled through all 16 stations of Kochi metro. Dr. Sunny George, director, SCMS Water Institute, G.P. Hari, additional general manager, KMRL, and Adarsh Kumar DGM, KMRL, also spoke on the occasion. Meanwhile, SCMS Water Institute is conducting a feasibility study on the potential of rain water harvesting in all stations of Kochi metro.
