McDonald's customer goes into labour in the restaurant's Drive-Thru lane
A couple at a McDonald's Drive-Thru walk away with seven pounder, but it was not what they were expecting, so soon at least.
A heavily pregnant Sarah Meek and her partner Josh Hall, both 21, stopped at the restaurant on their way to a hospital in Scunthorpe, Lincs (UK) to grab a bite to eat.
When they got there, her water suddenly broke. "We stopped because Sarah said she was starving, but then she said she needed to go to the loo, I said could she wait, but she couldn't," Hall is quoted as saying by the Daily Mail.
"We went to the toilet and I was helping her and then I panicked because her eyes just shot open and she stared at me right into my eyes like a pair of daggers and said 'oh I need to push," he went on to say.
Luckily, there happened to be an off-duty midwife in the Drive-Thru lane, who helped coach the Meek along.
"So, I had Sarah's phone in one hand and my phone in the other, on her phone I was speaking to the midwife, and on my phone I was speaking to my mother because she was outside with the food," Hally revealed.
It wasn't long after Meek gave brith to a healthy baby they named Alfie. Mother and baby were then rushed off to the hospital in an ambulance.
