Video: Russian acrobat falls from a height of 20 ft as circus stunt goes wrong
Everyone enjoys watching acrobats performing at a circus but nothing can prepare people for unexpected incidents. Sometimes hazards during such performances can leave audiences shocked and the performers with dire consequences.
In a shocking accident in Russia, an acrobat plummeted from a height of 20 feet when an aerial stunt went terribly wrong. The accident left the 33-year-old with two breaks in his spinal cord and a serious head injury that made doctors put him in a medically induced coma.
He was performing an act with his twin brother and had practised it hundreds of times. A belt used in the act slipped out of a carabiner and the man fell on the hard floor since he wasn’t wearing safety equipment.
He is now recovering in the intensive care unit.
