Philadelphia: The popular Philly naked bike will now take place in August. Naked bicyclists say that they were feeling so cold in September that this year they will do it in August.
Organisers of the annual Philly naked bike ride say that they’ve “ridden in chilly weather” the last two Septembers so this time they will saddle up on August 24, 2019 and “hope it’s a scorcher!”
The nude ride was on 8th September last year and 9th September the year before that, with temperatures reaching only about 70 degree Fahrenheit (21 degree Celsius). Participants in this ride can go as bare as they dare.
Some of the cyclists wore their birthday suits accentuated with body paint or glitter while others wore underwear or masks. They pedalled past sights including Independence Hall and Liberty Bell.
