Teen boys wear off-the-shoulder tops to protest against school's dress code

Young high school boys recently stood in solidarity with their female classmates after San Benito High School in the US banned the off-the-shoulder tops.

They also wore the controversial top at a protests organised by some of the students, the Daily Mail reported. A 16-year-old student from the school who remains anonymous told Yahoo Style "My guy friends think it’s ridiculous too."

It all began on August 10, when the students returned to school and were having their pictures taken on the first two days. Some of the girls, who chose to wear the cool top for their pictures, were told it was against the school's dress code.

Many deemed it unfair and did not agree with the administrators' explanation that the ban was "for their own safety", the Daily Mail reported.

That is when the students decided to organise the protest. Some of them were even spotted getting a write up for wearing the top on school property, including a few boys.

The school principal believes the incident is a teaching moment for the entire school community, according to Yahoo Style.
