McDonald's Big Mac sauce leaked online?
Every McDonald’s burger lover will swear by the fact that Big Mac is popular mostly for the sauce that accompanies it. It seems that only a very few privileged people know how to make the condiment.
However, now, the top-secret recipe seems to have been leaked online.
The allegedly authentic ingredients list seems to have circulated on Pinterest, but as reported by The Daily Mail, the authenticity of it has not been confirmed.
The list, on the other hand, that has been leaked online is long and contains a whopping 33 ingredients that include everything from soybean oil, pickle relish, vinegar, egg yolks, onion powder, mustard seeds among others.
The sauce was first created by franchisee owner Jim Delligatti who invented the Big Mac in 1968. The secret formula has been tweaked over the years by McDonalds but remained the same till 1991 and has been reverted to the original in 2004.
Burger fans were able to buy the sauce to use at home for the first time in Australia last year, where it sold for $4.95 (£2.40). However, only 4,000 bottles were made with early buyers reselling them on eBay and Gumtree for as much as $100.
