Virat Kohli's family is proud of him

Ever since Virat Kohli became the first player in the history of the ICC to win all three top awards  the Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy for the Best Cricketer, the Test Player of the Year and the ODI player of the Year, people have been comparing him with the legendary Sir Don Bradman. 

However, Kohli’s family holds a grounded view. “He is not playing for awards or records,” says Virat’s elder brother, Vikas Kohli, adding, “ They are only by-products of his performance.”

Acknowledging his brother’s achievements, he adds, “We are proud and happy with his awards.” Further, Vikas says, “As a family, we don’t read too much into the records or the predictions. As long as the team is winning, we will celebrate every victory. We hope he (Virat) keeps working hard and the team continues to win as a whole.”
