Watch: Tanmay Bhat's Snapchat rant on the meaning of feminism goes viral

Feminism has now become a hot-button issue more than it had ever been before. Recently there have also been many public figures, both men and women, who have gone on record to disassociate themselves from the ‘feminist’ tag. YouTuber Tanmay Bhat from All India Bakchod tries to clear the air once and for all in his latest Snapchat video where he talks about the meaning of feminism itself.

The video, which has now gone viral, begins with an agitated Tanmay speaking about a meme he had come across on social media that poked fun on feminists. The meme described a ‘starter-pack’ for feminists that played on ridiculous stereotypes about people who identified themselves as such.

Tanmay commented that such stereotypes about feminism and feminists were completely baseless. He even went on declare that if one believed in equality for both sexes then that is enough to make them feminists.
