A family’s trip to the Yellowstone National Park turned out to be a terrifying experience after a black bear actually opened the door of their car when they stopped by for pictures. The scary incident, which was captured on camera, shows how the family’s excitement quickly turned to horror when the beast came too close for comfort.

In the beginning, the family is seen enthusiastically taking pictures and video recording as the bear approaches. But then just as the husband, who sat in the front seat, leans to click a photo, the unthinkable happens. The huge bear, who is standing on its hind legs, reaches for the door handle with its paws and pulls open the door.

The father immediately scrambles back and the kids shriek in horror as the bear tries to pull the door open even wider. Fortunately, he manages to pull the door shut with his feet and the car swiftly speeds ahead.
