This emotional ad will make you question gendered roles and responsibilities

As more and more corporate companies are waking up to the fact that feminism and women’s issues need to be addressed even in sectors like advertising, a popular detergent brand has come up with an ad that beautifully highlights the unfair pressures that women have to face everyday.

The ad features the protagonist coming to terms with the bitter realization that he did not fulfil his responsibility as a father well enough after he watches his own grown-up daughter juggling between housework and other responsibilities without any cooperation from her husband.

The ad ends on the note that men and women are equal partners in a relationship and that one should not be burdened with extra tasks just because those activities are normatively associated with a specific gender.
