Purses with Rs 2000 note pictures hit the markets and Twitter went berserk

Mumbai: The demonetisation of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes has caused a considerable amount of chaos in the nation and apart from long queues outside banks and ATMs running out of cash, the new Rs 2000 notes introduced recently have also run into trouble since people are struggling to find change for them.

But even as Indians are having a hard time getting their hands on the new notes and getting change in exchange, made in China purses with images of Rs 2000 and new Rs 500 currency notes have already flooded markets in the country.

As images of hawkers in Mumbai selling these purses made it to the digital space, Twitter went berserk as everyone had their take on the way these Chinese products made it to markets even as printing presses are working to meet the demand for Rs 2000 notes at banks.

While some remarked how the purses arrived before enough of actual notes came out, one user wrote, “China- trolling India since 1947”.

Similar wallets with Rs 1000 and Rs 500 notes printed on them have been available in the market for quite some time now.
