Many grown-up women are still hesitant about establishing boundaries in relationships but fortunately fifth-grader Zoë seems to have had an early start in asserting herself already. Twitter user @WhosDenverJones tweeted a picture of the letter in which little Zoe wrote down a no-nonsense list of “rules and regulations” for her classmate Noah who apparently seemed to be hovering around a bit too much.
One can’t help but admire Zoe for her honesty in communicating clearly about her discomforts regarding the behaviour of an unwanted admirer. It directly debunks popular misconceptions that society often makes young girls to believe such as ‘he likes you if he is mean to you’.

Zoe’s “rules and regulations” list has garnered over 10,000 likes and has been retweeted more than 6,000 times ever since it was posted on Thursday.
