Watch: Indian girls perform Sia's Cheap Thrills' on the Veena

The two have done special Veena covers of popular Indian numbers as well.

Indian classical music instruments have proved time and again their amazing versatility with many musicians using them to perform covers of western songs of different genres. The latest to join the party are sisters Aathy and Aara Thambiappah from Toronto who have given the popular single by Sia, Cheap Thrills, a desi twist.

The talented siblings played an amazing rendition of the hit song on the Veena – a traditional instrument used primarily in South Indian classical music. The two have done special Veena covers of popular Indian numbers as well.

Check out their Facebook page to listen to the other covers they’ve performed after you’ve finished listening to this Sia-inspired one.
