Apart from eye contact and laughing at bad jokes, here are words you need to avoid to make good conversations.

An old German proverb states, “A man is seldom better than his conversation”. In the age of the Internet, there are many new words that we have started using. If you are used to calling your partner your other half or hubby, you may want to stop it.

According to Tatler, there are words such as hubby, panties, iconic, legendary and other half that we should stop using while making a conversation. Quaff (to drink something heartily) and tipple (an alcoholic beverage), shindig and soirée are some of the other banned words, according to a report on DailyMail.co.uk. Apparently, one should also stop calling an event ‘do’. Pet owners should stop referring their pets as ‘pooch’. And one should also stop using the word scintillating to make a scintillating conversation (oops).
