Video footage online showed the horrifying moment a man in China roasted a live puppy over a fire, the Metro reported.
The unidentified man, a factory worker, did it because "he wanted to eat it", according to the report. The man's colleague filmed the shocking incident and posted on WeChat, a social networking app in the country.
The report described the man holding the puppy by a string over the fire in the video.
An outraged animal lover Ms Jin in Jiujiang sent the video to new organisations after she claimed he showed her the animal's remains.
She and other animal activists went to the Jiujiang Power Supply Station, where the post revealed he worked to confront the man.
It was then he revealed that this is the "second time" he killed a dog because he likes that meat.
