To make this entire process a lot easier, a group of young entrepreneurs from VIT Vellore called ‘Amvuk’, have come up with an app called ‘Carson’. Literally serving as a private butler, this app will bring every service at your fingertips.
The in-hotel app makes your ‘after-booking’ frenzy a lot smoother. From the housekeeping to serene spa sessions this app will keep you updated on every detail relevant to the hotel. The app provides you with the services, mediating between the hotel and you, thus catering to your needs.
“A traveller using hotels frequently don’t have to download the app every time. Once Carson is in mainstream at every 4 and 5 star hotels, it will become easier for the guest to communicate with hotel staff. After you check in, the app gets configured according to where you are staying. One can have a hassle-free travel, as you just tap your smartphone rather than making several calls. Carson does it all for you,” says Udit Pandoh, founder and CEO of Amvuk.
With chats between various departments, you will be able to extract the top-notch provision of the facilities. But the best thing about this is it comes with a dual profit to not the travellers alone, but is also of great help to the hotel industry.
At a subscription rate of just 30,000 per month, a hotel can avail the App, “Generally, hotels want to have apps to have a proper engagement with their customers. But creating an app and maintaining it with engineers, costs a lot making it affordable only for big chains of hotels. So this app makes it an inclusive forum for smaller hotels as well,” says Udit. Due to this convenience, it also helps increase the in-hotel sales.
Carson is a self-maintained and updated app. The user doesn’t need to install a new app each time they go to a different hotel; it works anywhere and at any time. This app is being tested and is currently in the marketing stage.
Amvuk has made agreements with five hotels as of now. The app is a one-stop destination for all the irritating follow-ups that one needs to do while travelling; making your trip an enjoyable one.
