Canine travels 180 kms solo on train; social media launches hunt for owner

Social media users were eager to reunite the lovely dog with his owners, with the post getting over 15 thousand shares.

This curious canine managed to travel by itself for 182 kms and is now homeless.

The beautiful Doberman was found wandering around Birmingham New Street station by himself and was taken in by volunteers who thought he was a stray.

A trip to the vet revealed his microchip which was traced back to the northern city of Hudderfield, which is a good three-hours away.

It is believed that the canine must have swapped trains at Manchester Piccadilly which links the two cities together and would have been on a seven-hour long journey.

Hilbrae Kennels in Telford, Shropshire, took the canine in but are desperate to reunite him with his owners.

They posted on their Facebook:

Microchips help connect animals to their local vets, and while the kennel owner has written to the Doberman's vet, he hasn't received a response yet.

The medium build Doberman is black with red markings, he was found wearing a silver chained collar but there is no address on it.
