Video: CNN anchor breaks down while narrating ordeal of Syrian boy
As the world is shook by the image of a terrified Syrian pulled out from rubble in Aleppo a year after the pictures of Aylan Kurdi on a beach in Turkey horrified the world, people are expressing outrage over the deteriorating situation in the region.
The five-year-old named Omran Daqneesh was rescued from a building that collapsed during an air strike on a rebel held neighbourhood. An anchor at CNN was so overcome by emotions while talking about the boy caked in dust and blood on his face that she almost broke down on air.
She held back tears while narrating Omran’s plight, and said, “He doesn’t cry once. That little boy is in total shock. He is stunned. Inside his home one moment and the next, lost in the fury of war and chaos.”
