MARBELLA in the house
The concept of marble being incorporated into office and home spaces isn’t new. But, this year, the classic interiors staple is seeing a renaissance — and for reasons aplenty.
1) Seamless flooring: Marble flooring when carried out with a seven coats polishing blurs out the joints. The glossy effect is ideal for huge flooring areas and spaces. The demand to use natural grains and textures to achieve an alabaster like finish is high.
2) Marble cladding with inlay work: A decade ago, stone cladding (in variants like Lime stone and Kubota stone), was quite the rage. But, off late, people are going for marble cladding for a refine or rather luxe finish. Most residential and hotels have realised the impact of marble cladding and hence, Marble stones with MS or HS in laywork with copper finish is what's trending.
3) Marble tops for furniture: Marbles have always been the first preference for dining and side table tops. The reasons are simple: It's low maintenance, easy to clean and looks shinier. Marbles are ideal for every nook and corner of the house. However, it is best advised to not expose it to acidic sources.
4) Marble sculptures: Marble sculptures find its origin back to the regal eras. These are extremely expensive, but give out such a standout vibe. It's best used for outdoor landscapes. Buddle marble sculptures are best suggested to amp up your interiors.
