When couple Akshaya and Shriram planned to tie the knot, they also decided to strike the perfect balance between their cultural roots and their love for metal music at their wedding. This Tamil Brahmin bride and groom have raised the standards of coolness by actually jamming together at their own wedding.

While the bride, Akshaya was the vocalist, her groom, Shriram, took charge of the drums. Just the sight of the newly wedded couple, in their traditional South Indian finery with gajra flowers, mehendi and the works onstage as the Dulhan Brass Band was enough to wow the audiences.

But this is not the first time the love-struck couple has been awesomely unconventional. Reportedly, Akshaya and Shriram had chosen the Everest base camp as their honeymoon destination. If there’s a couple that should give you some serious wedding goals then these folks perfectly fit the bill.
