This story of a couple that met during the holocaust will give you the feels

Sigi and Hanka met at a Nazi concentration camp set up by Hitler's army in Poland.

The Second World War marked one of the darkest eras in history with millions of lives lost across the world and a horrifying genocide of Jews by Hitler’s Nazi army during the holocaust.

But as those grim days left memories of horror, there are also tales of hope and love from the holocaust and one of them is the story of Sigi and Hanka Siegreich, who have been married for 70 years and their love is visible in one glance.

Sigi (93) first saw Hanka (91) in 1944, at a concentration camp set up by Hitler’s army in Poland. It was love at first sight and Sigi told ABC News that, “The whole world was turning around me. I saw a pair of beautiful eyes and I heard bells ringing."

What followed became etched deep in their memories, as Sigi kissed Hanka on the cheek before going to his barracks. They spent time at the camp amid atrocities by giving each other solace, and married the very next day of the camp’s liberation.

Sigi and Hanka again had a marriage ceremony on their 50th wedding anniversary in 1971, as it was attended by all those present at their wedding in 1945. Both of them already have their gravestone prepared side by side, to stay together even after death.
