The winner of the competition Bhupathiraju Prasad Raju was awarded cash prize of Rs 1 lakh and a trophy.

More than 600 fitness enthusiasts from the city participated in the cardio challenge at Kotla Vijaya Bhaskar Reddy Stadium on Sunday. Organised by Sri Dance and fitness Studios (SDFS), the 75 minutes non-stop session saw, fitness enthusiasts, between 18-60 years, doing a series of unconventional workouts from aerobics, squats, core exercises and fitness dance. The winner of the competition Bhupathiraju Prasad Raju was awarded cash prize of Rs 1 lakh and a trophy.

“Fun fitness challenges and competitions with your friends, family, and colleagues can go a long way toward shaking up your fitness routine and giving you a reason to keep trying,” says fitness expert Sri and the brain behind this fitness challenge. “Encouragement is a great motivator, but one of the most motivating factors in group workouts, and therefore social fitness, is competition and we at SDFS are known for it,” he adds. Talking about the challenge, 52-year-old Prasad says, “Cardio challenge was an exciting experience for all fitness freaks. Even though, it’s for the first time that such an event was conducted at this scale, organisers surprised me with flawless event execution. It created an amazing platform for participants to challenge their mental and physical stamina.”
