Islamophobia has only intensified in the country ever since the United States elected Donald Trump as its President. Bigotry and distrust towards the American Muslim community is not that hard to understand as only half of Americans personally know a Muslim, according to a survey conducted by Pew Research Center. In an attempt to combat ignorance and hatred, Jewish filmmaker Joshua Seftel came up with the ‘Secret Life of Muslims’ project.
The video series, which features American Muslims from all walks of life, aims to spread awareness and battle negative stereotypes. The first six films of the series that have been released have already received millions of views on social media.
