Several parts of the world are struggling with a heat wave as temperatures continue to soar. But while people come up with different ways to cope with it, some bizarre measures are being recommended.
A health official in Colombia has raised eyebrows by advising residents to stop having sex in order to deal with temperatures as high as 40 degrees celsius. His input was received either by laughter or by disbelief among locals as no one seems likely to follow it.
The tip came along with other measures including staying hydrated and wearing lose fitting clothes. He said people should at least wait till night when the temperatures are lower if they can’t control their desire.
