The art of giving: Now, a Share Happiness Kiosk'
Hyderabad: The kindred spirit is awakened. After the “Wall of Kindness” a similar concept that is broader in canvas has been launched. Called the ‘Share Happiness Kiosk’, a kiosk has been set up in the west zone and people are welcome to come and off-load their extra furniture or household products there. Unlike the ‘Wall of Kindness’, the kiosk has more space to accommodate house and personal items. People are also welcome to come and pick up whatever they like from the kiosk, of course at no cost.
“The concept is similar to that of the ‘Wall of Kindness’. The kiosk has been created keeping the monsoons in mind. This place has an overhead shed, two walls on either side, made of used plastic bottles and the back wall with hangers. People are welcome to donate clothes, books, footwear and even household items.”
“The shed can also accommodate furniture. This is good for people moving to another city. Often they have household goods they can’t sell or donate. The kiosk is a good place to dump these goods as somebody or the other would have some use for it”, said Ms Hari Chandana Dasari, west zone Municipal Commissioner.
