A New Jersey man who suffered a massive heart attack beat all the odds to enjoy a date with his wife to celebrate his 91st birthday. He reportedly even told the paramedics that he loved his wife and wasn’t ready to leave her.
When Joseph Leifkin woke up bathed in sweat, he immediately realised that he needed medical attention. After the couple called 911, the nonagenarian pleaded the responders to save his life so that he could get to have his special birthday dinner with his wife. However on the way to the hospital, Leifkin’s heart actually stopped for ten minutes and he even ceased to breathe. Fortunately, the healthcare professionals were able to revive him by doing chest compressions.
Not only was he able to bring in his 91st birthday with his beloved wife, the paramedic team that saved him also paid a visit to wish him good health, reports abc7NY.
