According to the report, a source revealed the Duke of Sussex has been an 'emotional wreck - but in a good way!' about the prospect of his new role.
"It is something he has wanted for a long time and he couldn’t be happier. He is so protective of her," the source is quoted as saying by the Daily Mail.
Media reports reveal his 37-year-old wife recently had her 12-week scan. That means she is in her second trimester.
The couple arrived in Sydney on Monday for a 16-day tour of Australia and the South Pacific, just before news broke of their big announcement.

The trip is their only international tour since the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were married in May 2018, apart from a two-day visit to Ireland.
On Tuesday, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex received baby gifts, met a koala couple and posed in front of Sydney's dazzling Opera House.
