Love is in the air, now British athlete proposes to his partner in Rio
The Olympic Games have always been significant for several decades, as they have left generations with memories of joy, pride, disappointment and hope over the years.
But it seems this year love is the flavour of the Olympic season, as the games have already seen two heart-warming proposals, one being the marriage proposal of a volunteer to a Brazilian rugby player and a Chinese diver being proposed by her team mate, stealing the show at Rio.
After the audiences were spellbound by the union of a Brazilian lesbian couple, it’s team Great Britain which is winning hearts, as athlete Tom Bosworth proposed to his partner Harry Dineley, as the gay couple became the latest to get engaged at the games.
He tweeted a photo of the proposal from Brazil’s Copacabana beach, with the caption, “He said YES!!!” This was followed by Harry Dineley tweeting the picture of his ring, captioned “Ok then”.
