1If not a dancer, what would you be?
I have always wanted to be a dancer. I have a masters in rehabilitation and counseling, therefore I would like to conduct dance therapy classes, combining both my passions.
2 One song that never leaves your playlist….
Hindustani Classics, an album released by my husband has been on my playlist for quite some time.
3 A person who has motivated/ inspired you the most?
It has been 16 years since I started dancing, I would have to say the people who inspired me the most are my gurus Smt. Nirupama and Shri Rajendra have been my source of inspiration and motivation.
4 One pick up line that has made you laugh?
One time this stranger came up to me and said, “I really like you, but please take your time.” This line left me speechless.
5 Best compliment you have received till now?
After a dance performance, someone complimented me saying, “You were born to dance.” This is the best compliment I have received.
6 What genre of movies you enjoy watching?
During my teens, I enjoyed watching romantic comedies, but now I like movies which deliver a strong message and leave me thinking.
7 If granted three wishes, what would you wish for?
First thing I would wish for is to spread more of our Indian culture abroad through dance. Secondly, I would like to travel and thirdly, I would like to open a restaurant that offers free dance classes.
8 Celebrity crush during your teens?
Shah Rukh Khan.
9 What was the one fashion trend that you thought was totally weird?
I never liked bell bottom jeans.
10 One habit you haven't been able to let go?
One habit that I haven't been able to let go is to check several times if the doors are locked.
