FIFA World Cup: Maradona attends Argentina vs Iceland wearing 2 watches, here's why
Football legend Diego Maradona was spotted in the crowd during Argentina vs Iceland match on Saturday.
The World Cup-winning player was seen wearing red sunglasses and sporting, not one, but two watches at the Spartak Stadium in Moscow.
While fans were quick to take to Twitter to wonder and ponder upon the reason why Maradona insists on the pair of time pieces, it has been revealed that this is nothing new.
Maradona has long been spotted wearing a pair of wristwatches - with one set to the local time and the other set to the time in his hometown.
Maradona was seen rounding off the ensemble for Argentina's tournament opener with a fat cigar as well.
Notably, Maradona almost did not make it to the tournament after being admitted to a hospital in Colombia earlier this month.
The 57-year-old Argentine icon underwent tests on a long-standing knee problem.
However, the world-famous star made it to Russia, where is currently serving as a World Cup pundit.
