Video: Rubik's cube solved in less than a second by robot

The Rubik's cube can be scrambled into 43 quintillion different combinations.

Munich:

Solving the Rubik’s cube has been considered a way to sharpen grey cells and gauge the mind’s capacity for problem solving. While there are people who have solved the Rubik’s cube in a matter of seconds, technology seems to be moving ahead to make things faster.

A robot has been able to beat the clock by solving the Rubik’s cube in the amount of time required to translate thoughts to words and also for generating results in Google for a specific search term. It managed to pull off the feat in just 600 milliseconds.

The robot did so at an electronics trade fair in Germany as everyone present was left stunned, beating a previous record by machines which stood at 1 second.

Rubik’s cube has six sides painted in different colours and divided in nine sections, as it can be scrambled into 43 quintillion collections and the record for a human being solving it stands at 4.904 seconds.
