Kerala: IQ princess Isra steals the show
KOZHIKODE: Meet Isra Habeeb, 5, a UKG student of Silver Hills School here, better known as the IQ princess who started displaying her extraordinary IQ powers when she was less than three years old. She was the chief guest, who inaugurated the year-long quiz competition organised at the Parambil Bazar MAM Upper Primary School here on Thursday. She stood before hundreds of people and enthralled the audience with her knowledge of the capitals of various countries and the speed with which she reeled them off.
Without a second thought or a break, she answered all questions related to the names of the states, the chief ministers of Kerala, names of each player in almost all the football teams, the national and international award winners and all what the UP students of the school asked her. "A few months after she was born, she started showing extraordinary powers," said her father U. Habeeb.
"When she was born, I'd say the ABCs to her which she would mouth along with me. When her uncle visited Delhi, we told her that it is the capital of our country and after a few days she started repeating it. We finally had to look at her and ask 'is this normal for a tiny tot to do?' She recalls and grasps whatever we tell or talk to her," he said.
Isra was invited to the inauguration of the quiz ceremony to inspire the students, said MAM school principal C.K. Vinod Kumar. "She astonished our students with her wide knowledge about so many things around the globe," he added. Her parents say little Isra has a new pursuit always and she is currently studying every book that is given to her and recalls all what is attractive in it. "She's doing a lot of creative things now but is a silent girl in her school," her father said. She's a multi-tasker and her mind never stops.
