Tattoo addict inks his penis to treat pain
Australian man inks 90% of his body, including his penis to treat his chronic pain syndrome.
Tattboy Holden told The Sun he was bed-bound 24/7 after suffering side effects from a routine surgery in 2000.
That was the moment the tattoo addict decided to take his obsession to another level.
"I had already had some tattoos in the past, but through the course of this I found tattoos were a form of pain therapy. I call it 'pain distraction'. I look forward to it," Holden told The Sun. Adding, "If the tattoo is big enough, it distracts the pain for about a day. It still hurts, but it's on your terms."
However, as painful as it is, the 48-year-old finds relief going under the needle and has spent more than £60,000 and 1,000 hours in body modification, the report revealed.
Holden has gone as far as inking his penis and right eye. "The skin between my eyelids and nose is probably the most painful. It feels like eye surgery, your eyes just pour water. Lips felt like razorblades. And my c**k hurt, obviously," he revealed.
Despite a drastic transformation, Holden has no regrets as it helps with his health issues and is proud of the art displayed on his body.
With almost every inch of him practically covered in ink, Tattboy was asked if he's done, to which he replied: "I'd probably never say I'm finished."
The art on him reveals fascinating tales from his life. On his back, a car represents the time armed bandits held it hostage and a rainbow on his calf shows his support for equality.
Holden is currently unemployed and is often mistaken for a criminal. He will soon star in a new horror movie and hopes to find work as a DJ.
