A doctoral student at the University of Hyderabad (UoH), Joseph Satish, has won the prestigious Switzerland-based Oikos Case Writing Competition this year in the Social Entrepreneurship track. Researchers from world over present their case studies on real-life scenarios.
“My case study was about a farmers cooperative in Anantapur district, who cultivate millets through organic farming. We researched on how they came to know about this technique, their marketing strategies and more,” he says. Talking about his experience, Satish adds, “The competition was announced last year, but the results just came out. Prof. Shambu Prasad of Institute of Rural Management Anand, Gujarat, co-authored the case study along with me.”
